Will Allen is a native of Dayton, Ohio, as a student at Wayne High School, he earned Associated Press Division I All-Ohio, Super Prep All-Midwest and Rivals.com Top 100 football honors while also running track and playing baseball. Allen graduated from the Ohio State University with a degree in communications, where he received numerous honors and won a national championship. He entered the National Football League in 2004 after being drafted by the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in the fourth round.

In his fifth year with the Buccaneers, Allen is known for his versatility and his ability to contribute at either safety position. Allen is already recognized for his quick thinking and his aptitude for making game changing plays. He notched his first career two-interception game at the expense of NFL MVP Brett Favre on September 25, 2005. The two fourth-quarter interceptions contributed to the Buccaneers 17-16 victory at Lambeau Field. He enters the 2008 season with 152 tackles, four interceptions, one fumble recovery for a touchdown and seven passes defensed in 61 career games.

To sharpen his skills off the field, Allen took part in three-day seminars at both the Harvard Business School and the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University as part of the NFL’s Business Management and Entrepreneurial Program in February and March 2008. Inspired to do more for the community where he works, lives and plays. Thus, The Will Allen Foundation was established in May 2008.

Will Allen is the son of Keith and Monica and has two younger brothers: Steve, who plays defensive back at West Point, and Chris, who played strong safety at Ball State.
